Tamworth Meals
on Wheels Program

The Meals on Wheels Program serves Tamworth residents and works in cooperation with Ossipee Concerned Citizens. Each year, 10,000 to 15,000 meals are delivered to Tamworth residents.

Everyone is eligible to receive a meal, however there may be a fee based on income.

Meals are prepared by Ossipee Concerned Citizens and are delivered by volunteers Monday through Friday with the exception of holidays or inclement weather.

The Tamworth Meals on Wheels Program would not exist without its valuable and dedicated team of volunteer drivers. In some cases, the Meals on Wheels driver may be the only person a recipient sees in the course of a day.

The average delivery time is approximately 2 hours. Volunteers may choose to serve monthly or weekly. Each new volunteer is oriented to the route by an experienced driver. Mileage reimbursement is available.

telephoneTo become a Meals on Wheels driver please contact Dave Deveau, TCNA Administrative Assistant, 323-8511.

A drivers’ sole responsibility is to deliver the meal. Marketing promotional goods, proselytizing or soliciting is not allowed under any circumstances. Any information regarding Meal recipients should be considered confidential and shared only with the Meals on Wheels coordinator or the TCNA nursing staff.
911
If a driver encounters a situation which may indicate a problem with a Meals on Wheels recipient, that driver should contact the TCNA office immediately or call 911.
