About the event
If you are a friend, family member, caregiver, first responder, neighbor, business owner, volunteer, or anyone who ever interacts with someone who is living with dementia, consider attending the upcoming community training series on Understanding Dementia offered by TCNA in August.
The first session, a Virtual Dementia Tour, will be experiential, during which you will step into the shoes of a person living with dementia and learn about the sensory changes associated with the disease, because dementia doesn’t just impact our memory.
In session two, you will learn about what happens in our brains during the normal aging process, and how it’s different for people with dementia. In the final session, you will learn practical strategies for supporting people who are living with dementia, to increase your ability to interact with them more effectively while improving their quality of life in our community.
