Next 'Get Healthy Tamworth' program, ‘Healthy Foods — Food Safety: Is the food in your pantry safe to eat?’
The Tamworth Community Nurse Association will offer the next in its monthly program series entitled “Get Healthy Tamworth!” on Saturday, May 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. at The Tamworth Lyceum in Tamworth Village.
This month’s program is “Healthy Foods — Food Safety,” presented by Ann Hamilton, a field specialist in food safety from farm to table with the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension. Hamilton will share important information regarding food safety, including expiration dates on packaged foods, what to look for to determine spoilage, food storage tips and much more. Hamilton offers a wealth of information regarding food preparation, healthy vs less healthy eating, options for making more nutritious meals and much more. Questions will be welcome during her talk.
