Join us on Sunday, March 14, we will do a tour of some Wonalancet Trails. We will begin on the Red Trail, which starts on the Ferncroft Road across from the Wonalancet Chapel. We will take a right on the Pasture Path, and walk towards Ferncroft. At its terminus we will pick up the Blueberry Ledge Trail, take that and shortly take a right on the Blueberry Ledge Cut Off. On that trail we will walk up Wonalancet Brook past the footbridge as far as we want to go, then turn around, cross the footbridge to the Dicey's Mill Trail. We will then walk back out through Ferncroft. We may visit the cemetery on the knoll in Ferncroft before walking back out to our cars.
I am hoping we can manage to park along 113 by the chapel and on start of Ferncroft Road. Hike is at 12:30. Easy to moderate, depending on conditions. Carpool if you can. Masks required.
To get there from Tamworth village, take 113A to Wonalancet, park at white Wonalancet Chapel or around the corner on Ferncroft Road. Bring traction and snowshoes.

POST HIKE:
Last Sunday, March 14, eight of us met to hike some Wonalancet trails. We went up the Red Path to Tilton Spring and down the Pasture Path to the start of the Blueberry Ledge Trail. We had intended to take the Blueberry Ledge Cutoff all the way to the bridge over Wonalancet Brook, but one section of the trail was steep hard snow above the flowing brook, and not safe with just light foot traction. So we turned around there and walked back and out to Ferncroft. The woods were sunny and beautiful, and protected us totally from the gusty winds.
