Tamworth Community Nurse Association (TCNA) was founded in 1921 to ensure no one in the town of Tamworth would go without healthcare due to financial difficulties or the lack of access to the healthcare system. We are one of a kind; the only free skilled nursing service in the country. As an independent, locally controlled nonprofit organization, we respond with speed and sensitivity to local conditions and individual needs, providing a wide range of skilled nursing-related services to residents of all ages.
We are dedicated to sustaining the health and vitality of Tamworth and its residents. We offer support for the physical, social and mental health of every citizen by providing skilled nursing care and coordination of available services all with no fee for service.
We are located in the Tamworth Town Hall and are handicap accessible.
  • The office is open 9 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Office visits with a licensed nurse Monday through Friday 9 to 11 AM or by appointment
  • Nurses are visiting patients in their homes at all other times.  Call the Office to schedule a visit if you are unable to come to the office.

TCNA provides more than just a bandage; our nurses walk the walk with you through life's challenges.
