Mindfulness Meditation Workshop, Sept. 22 to Oct. 27

Sign up for our Six week Mindfulness Meditation Workshop to be led by Diane Johnson As part of its Get Healthy Tamworth series, the Tamworth Community Nurse Association is once again sponsoring a six-week Mindfulness Meditation Workshop, led by Diane Johnson. The workshop will be held on Tuesdays from Sept. 22 to Oct. 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Cook Memorial Library in Tamworth Village.

Move toward greater balance, control and participation in your life

Mindfulness is a way of learning to relate directly to whatever is happening in your life, a way of taking charge of your life, a way of doing something for yourself that no one else can do for you. Mindfulness is learning to work mindfully and systematically with your own stress, pain, illness and the challenges and demands of everyday life. To restore a balanced sense of health and well-being within yourself requires increased awareness of all aspects of self, including body and mind, heart and soul.
