Falls are an all too common occurrence and millions of adults are affected each year. Falls are largely preventable, and the key to prevention is knowledge.

On Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Tamworth Lyceum, the Tamworth Community Nurse Association will host Betsy Donovan, president of Mountain Center, a Physical Therapy, Health and Human Performance Company with locations in Conway, Glen and Fryeburg, Maine, who will present, “Slips, Trips, and Falling Down.”

Learn about the risk factors of falls, some of which will surprise you, and learn what you can do to take charge of your health, safety and well-being. The program is one of TCNA’s “Get Healthy Tamworth!” series of monthly programs at The Lyceum in Tamworth Village.
